Poetry Submission: ‘Blurry Glass’

Written by Manasvi Panwar

Blurry Glass

Gushing downpour dampening withered cobblestone

Where I swooned in your arms lone

Now the love lingers like petrichor

Undesirous past the deluge afore

Your poignant pupils glinted as the incandescent lamp

Now I’m crestfallen beneath its gloomy glow, past revamp

Dewy droplets blur worldly sights

Laments encompass my eye’s whites

Stumbling down the winding path

Perhaps it is cupid’s wrath

I sit under the mistletoe

Anticipating our chance encounter from spring to snow

Happy reading!
